The Muay Thai world is less than one month from the massive flyweight fight between Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Superlek Kiatmoo9’s road to Rodtang Jitmuangnon

The ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion in Superlek has been itching for his chance to silence ONE Championship’s poster boy.

But he had to make some noise to get here. He did so in stunning fashion during his last two Muay Thai appearances.

First, he etched an impressive victory into his slate by stopping WBC Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane in the first round at ONE Lumpinee 22. Then he finished tough Russian Tagir Khalilov in the second round at ONE Fight Night 12.

After two stoppage wins and Superlek’s post-fight call out of Rodtang, matchmakers could no longer deny the man his shot at one of the sport’s most famous faces.

Superlek Kiatmoo9: ‘The Kicking Machine’

Superlek is “The Kicking Machine” for a reason. After all, he has built a career solely off the strength of his right kicks. But, at one point, he was also criticized by fans for being too technical.

It seems that in today’s Muay Thai world, where excitement trumps all, you need to be a little of both.

Now that he has added more punches and elbows to his kicking arsenal, Superlek is looking as dangerous and exciting as ever. In fact, many pin the man who came from the famed Kiatmoo9 stable in rural Thailand to be the guy to stop Rodtang’s thunderous momentum.
